Mr. Jason Holmes

Mr. Jason has been offering guitar lessons at Harmony Music Studio since the fall of 2006. "Music is something that I have always found interesting," he says. He decided on his own to study music because he has been fascinated with the variety of different sounds that can be produced from a guitar. He also was drawn to the image of the guitar itself, and all the different ways they can be made and decorated, so he picked up the instrument as a hobby when he was in High School. He professes a love of many other instruments besides the guitar. He feels that the guitar is a lot like a piano where you can play both rhythm and melodies, and enjoys the challenge and variety of playing guitar. He is currently pursing a BA in Guitar, and says that college is where he really started becoming productive with his music. He enjoys popular music, and practices almost every day, while also performing in church and with some local bands. He says his favorite piece of music is "anything that Rocks!" His favorite music groups include Alterbridge, Led Zeppelin, Natalie Merchant, Red Hott Chili Peppers, U2, Pat Benetar, Kelly Clarkson, and Stone Temple Pilots. He says that his favorite song is whatever particular piece he is trying to learn at the moment. "I love to listen to it because it helps me to learn it better." In his spare time he likes to surf online, cook, take his nephew to the park, exercise, and he enjoys watching movies and TV. Mr. Jason is currently accepting students of all skill levels.
